Statement: Support and Endorsement for Efforts Led by Mark Savaya to Solidify Iraqi Sovereignty
The Iraqi Liberal Unity Party is following, with great appreciation and deep satisfaction, the constructive diplomatic and political efforts led by Mr. Mark Savaya, Representative of President (Donald Trump), aimed at assisting Iraq in fully regaining its national decision-making power and solidifying its sovereignty.
We warmly welcome the intensive efforts exerted by Mr. Savaya to prevent and counter the blatant foreign interference in Iraq's internal affairs, particularly regarding the process of forming the upcoming Iraqi government. These steps align with the popular will that calls for an independent and free state, capable of making its decisions away from any regional or international dictates.
We also particularly commend the serious and evident work undertaken by Mr. Savaya to support efforts to dismantle the Iranian-backed terrorist militias, which have consistently posed a direct threat to the country's security and stability, and obstructed the path of development and reconstruction. This represents a strong message of support from Iraq's international allies for the necessity of enabling the Iraqi state to control its destiny.
We, in the Iraqi Liberal Unity Party, support every effort that contributes to confining weaponry exclusively to the hands of the State and imposing its authority over all territories and border crossings. We view this endeavor as a fundamental step towards building strong, independent national institutions capable of protecting the interests of all Iraqis without discrimination or dependency.
